TP (Twisted Pair) cabling is a form of wiring in which two conductors are wound together for the purposes of canceling out electromagnetic interference (EMI) from external sources, electromagnetic radiation from the UTP cable, and crosstalk between neighboring pairs.
UTP (unshielded twisted pair) - TP cable without screening.
FTP (foil twisted pair) - TP cable with single metal foil shielding.
SFTP (screened foil twisted pair) - TP cable with double shielding, metal foil and copper braiding.
SSTP (screened shielded twisted pair) - TP cable with each single wire pairs in metal foil and copper braiding as overall shielding. This cables are also named PIMF (Pairs in metal foil) cable.
