Until quite recently, most people would use TVs, DVD players and sound systems in their home entertainment systems. However, consumer electronics technology is advancing at a rapid pace, and there are now many new additions to the standard home entertainment systems.
Tablet computers are the latest gadget of choice in most homes, including the Motorola Xoom tablet. If you have one of these devices, or if you have just received one as a Christmas present, did you know you can incorporate it into your home entertainment system?
Using the HDMI port on the side of your Motorola Xoom tablet, you can connect an HDMI cable to enjoy content on your living room flatscreen TV. Simply snap photos, record or download video content, plug in your cable (one end to the tablet, the other to the HDMI port on the back of your TV) and start watching.
You can even share content from your Xoom tablet with an HD projector or other projector screen, if you have access to one. However, you will need to get yourself an HDMI to VGA converter in addition to your HDMI cable.
